2026 Scholarship Overview
We are looking for well-rounded student leaders who meet the following criteria:
- Residency: Must be a resident of Killingworth.
- Academic Excellence: A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
- Field of Study: Enrollment in a two- or four-year program majoring in medical, emergency services (Police/Fire), or allied health fields.
- Community Impact: Completion of at least 30 hours of community service.

Applications are available through the guidance offices at Haddam-Killingworth, Xavier, and Mercy High Schools, or they can be downloaded here.
Recipients are traditionally announced during their school’s annual Awards Night. Please note that scholarship checks are issued upon the successful completion of the student’s first collegiate semester.
Our Growing Impact
The KAA scholarship program has seen remarkable growth in recent years. In 2024, we were honored to award a record-tying six scholarships, ranging from $1,500 to $2,000 each. Over the past seven years alone, we have awarded 25 scholarships, reflecting our deep commitment to the bright futures of our local students.
